Frequently Asked Questions

Providing answers to your frequently asked questions.

I strongly believe in transparent pricing here at MAJ Solutions and I want you to feel comfortable knowing how much your investment is ahead of time. You will receive a fixed quote upfront which ensures you’ll never be unpleasantly surprised with a bill higher than what you expected.

Although my fixed quote is based on an hourly rate, you are given a flat/fixed rate instead of being charged hourly so that the price doesn’t increase if the project does take longer than expected.

Pricing is determined based on the scope, size, and needs of the project. If the size or scope of your project changes, I promise to inform you and submit a change order before any additional services are rendered. I also promise not to try to upsell you on a service you don’t want or need.

There are many factors involved when estimating project timeframes such as scope, scale, level of effort, and complexity. Above all, project timescales depend greatly on client response time. There needs to be a steady flow of communication between us so there’s no downtime. Lastly, while I can often accommodate tight project deadlines, I usually recommend not rushing the creative process whenever possible.

To give you a rough idea of typical timeframes, I usually request approximately 5-6 weeks for full-scale branding projects, 8-9 weeks for a basic web design/development projects, and 2-4 weeks for most print work.

MAJ Solutions does not price match other designers for this simple reason: Price matching only works for design projects that are identical. There are various reasons why one designer may charge $200 for a logo, and another charges $900 (ex: time spent on projects, level of experience and expertise, quality of product/service, etc).

Since no two projects or digital designers are the same, it’s not fair to demand, “If so and so only charges $200 for a logo design, why can’t MAJ Solutions?”

Checks, money orders, and Paypal transactions are all acceptable forms of payment. If you require payment by credit card, that can be done via Paypal, even if you don’t have an account. Paypal charges MAJ Solutions a 3% convenience fee for payments received, but there will be no charges to you. Because of this 3% fee, a check is the preferred method of payment.

Absolutely! As long as we are able to communicate when necessary, we should have no problem working together despite the distance between us. As a Green company, I love telecommunicating and I utilize many technologies for collaborating. Phone calls, texting, emailing, skype calls, and file-sharing platforms such as Google Drive are all acceptable forms of communication and have proven to run projects smoothly and efficiently. Emailing is often preferred because it’s non-disruptive, allows for well thought out dialog, sending of images, and is a convenient method of recounting a discussion.
